Friday Night Dancers (FND) are a group of volunteers who run Ballroom and Latin social dances twice a month at two venues in the South Lakes.
We operate on a not for profit basis. Any money in excess of operating costs is given to charity (use the Charity Donations link to see what we have all raised to date).
The dances are freestyle Ballroom and Latin, including:
Waltz, Foxtrot, Ballroom Tango, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz.
Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Argentine Tango, Jive, Rock'n'Roll and Salsa.
We dance from 7 30 pm until 10 pm with a break halfway when we provide refreshments and biscuits. Water and squash is provided throughout the night. All refreshments are included in the entry price.
Whilst we do not teach, the dances are ideal for anyone learning to dance and wishing to practice, as well as more experienced dancers.
The dance dates, venues and charges are shown on the dance dates page (no booking necessary, just turn up).
It should be noted that dances are not always fortnightly due to venue availability.
Dress Code - all we ask is that you dress "smart casual" (theme nights are optional).
